Dr. Donna Housman is the Founder of Beginnings and a clinical psychologist. She holds a Doctorate in Psychology from Boston University and is Assistant Clinical Professor at the B.U. School of Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Housman oversees all research and clinical training activities at Beginnings. She maintains a private practice in Wellesley Hills; serves as Treasurer of the Executive Committee of the Massachusetts Association for Infant Mental Health; and is a member of the New England Center for Children Advisory Board. She is Executive Director of Beginnings’ Board of Directors, comprised of professionals in education, psychology, finance and management. In addition to her work as an educator and clinician, her opinions and contributions have appeared in the Boston Globe, Boston Parents Paper, Commonwealth Magazine, Fox 25, The New York Times, and WBUR. She is a presenter and speaker both locally and nationally, having presented to the American Education Research Association (AERA), National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), Zero to Three, and many others.
