Summer at Beginnings: Where Minds Continue to Flourish
From mid-June through August, Beginnings offers summer programs for children ages 3 months to 7
years. Programs are managed by our experienced and creative teachers and fully utilize the school’s beautiful surroundings. Each year the school is transformed for our summer program to inspire children and their natural curiosities.
- Children are placed with their own age group for a summer filled with music, field games, science, reading, arts, crafts, cooking, and more.
- The Children’s Garden becomes “Base Camp” where children care for flowers, herbs, and vegetables, watching them grow until they’re just right for eating.
- Adventurers have regular opportunities to take day trips, visiting museums, parks, nature preserves, and beaches.
- Older campers can also take swim lessons.
Each day’s schedule emphasizes the fun of being outdoors – sharing time with friends at the water table, running on the playgrounds, discovering new paths and hiking trails, fishing in the stream with handmade rods, crossing over the bridge and up to the tree house,
or strolling along the fields enjoying the warmth and quiet of a summer morning.
