“Beginnings has offered me the opportunity to grow professionally in two important ways. First, I’ve been allowed to experience an early education classroom firsthand by diving into creating curriculum and engaging with children. Second, I’ve been offered the resources to strengthen my understanding of the psychology that accompanies successful early childhood education.” – Andrew

“Beginnings is a professional atmosphere where you learn new ideas everyday. The approach of Emotional, Cognitive, Social Earning Learning (ECSEL) that Dr. Housman has developed is one of the best philosophies you will find in early education. On top of executing her philosophy, I am learning how to manage my emotions while teaching children about social emotional regulation.” – Kim

“I love working as a teacher at Beginnings because of Dr. Donna Housman’s social emotional developmental approach to educating children. Every time I meet with Donna, I learn volumes and the approach works in the classroom every time. I see every day how validating feelings has helped me as a teacher and hear from families how empowering this approach is, resulting in a very strong bond between myself, the children, and their families.” – Susan

“At Beginnings School, I learn every day, not only from Donna, but from my students.  I have been working here for almost two years and I’m truly amazed how children use their language to show the full range of emotion. I love the professionalism and I have become a better and more confident educator through the school’s philosophy.” – Danielle
